MONROVIA – July 27, 2021:CBL Executive Governor, J. Aloysius Tarlue, accompanied by deputy governors Madam Nyemadi D. Pearson and Dr. Musa Dukuly, along with staff of the General Support Services and Management Information Systems Departments, toured CBL’s newly completed Document Management Center (DMC) in Virginia, Montserrado Count on 16 July 2021.
Madam Nyemadi D. Pearson, the Deputy Governor for Operations, under whose watch the Center was established, briefed Executive Governor Tarlue that the Center will be used to secure and protect the growing amount of CBL documents for future use whenever they are needed . She said with the Center now ready, the process of migrating documents there can commence.
The Deputy Governor also spoke of the development of a procedure for packaging and archiving CBL documents which when approved will define how documents will be packaged by departments.
“Currently, the facility will be limited to the physical storage of certain kinds of bank documents, but it is envisioned that in the not-too-distant future the digital component where computers and servers will be needed to manage the operations will be integrated. The vision for the Center is for the data there to become electronic and automated, thereby eliminating unnecessary manual tasks and the associated cost implications”, Deputy Governor Pearson said.
For his part, Executive Governor Tarlue, who is also Chairman of the Board of Governors, praised Deputy Governor Pearson for the level of work that was undertaken in getting the Document Management Center to the current state of readiness for document migration.
